Business Profile

Fire and Safety Solutions Ltd (FASS) Fire and Safety Solutions Ltd is an independent company specialising in the supply and service of fire equipment and support services. We pride ourselves on the quality of service, workmanship and our competitive prices.

Our office is based in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire which is ideally located to service our clients throughout the country. The company specialises in the supply and contract maintenance of fire equipment, from fire alarm systems to dry riser systems. All new equipment supplied is manufactured to current British and European Standards with accompanying logos. All fire extinguishers are manufactured in the U.K. to BS EN3 and carry the British Kitemark for reassurance and quality.

We also carry out full risk assessments for commercial premises of all sizes, ensuring that you fully comply with all current regulations. In addition to this we are able to offer training to either individuals such as a nominated Fire Safety Officer or group training which can cover everything from basic Fire Extinguisher use to a fully bespoke course covering any aspect of Fire Safety required.

Service The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires that the responsible person for a premise ensures that all fixed and portable fire fighting equipment is maintained which includes Wet and Dry Risers. It is recommended by The British Standard that Wet and Dry Risers are serviced every 6-months and Hydraulically Pressure Tested once a year.

In addition to the safety aspects, Dry Risers especially can be prone to vandalism as the external “Fire Brigade Inlet” or “Dry Riser Inlet” are red painted and on an external wall. FASS can replace the normal glass front with steel to discourage damage. With Wet Risers there are no external parts.

FASS can also service, supply and replace individual parts such as gate valves (Dry Riser), globe valves (Wet Riser), Inlet breeching valves, galvanised pipes, Dry riser inlet cabinet, Dry riser outlet cabinets, brackets, grooved fittings and fixings.

Service and Maintenance Fire and Safety Solutions Ltd (FASS) are pleased to offer a complete service and maintenance option for all your fire and safety equipment systems. This allows you to not only ensure that all legal and safety requirements are met giving you peace of mind that your systems will work when its needed most, but also allowing you to budget annual maintenance costs.

Water Fire Extinguishers The most common and effective fire extinguisher, these are used for free burning materials such as wood, cardboard, textiles etc. These are available in a range of sizes up to 9 litres, with a corrosion resistant finish, protective plastic base and wall mountable hook.

Fire safety signs In addition to having the appropriate equipment to extinguish a fire, it is also important to ensure that your premises, whether it is commercial or domestic, has clear and logical signs and safety information to inform people of safe escape routes, location of fire equipment and its correct use or ...

Wet or dry risers Fire and Safety Solutions Ltd are able to supply and install Wet or Dry Riser installation anywhere in the UK with all out installations carried out to BS 9990: 2006 standards.

FASS have many years of experience of Wet and Dry Riser installation and all of our engineers are fully qualified, working with Health and Safety awareness as detailed in the Construction Skills Certification Scheme Booklet.
