Business Profile

Ghillied Clothing Ghillied clothing is a brand new sustainable leggings business based in Edinburgh, Scotland. We have a simple recipe for our leggings - each garment is designed in Scotland, hand made in London, and built with ultra-modern recycled nylon fabric. The inspiration for our products and colours are taken from the beautiful Scottish outdoors. Everything we do is with the goal is getting people outdoors, for the good of their mental health, physical health, and the health of the planet.

More than 640,000 tonnes of fishing nets, 'ghost nets', and other commercial fishing tools are deposited in the oceans every year. This is the equivalent of 55,000 double decker busses. These nets are the largest pollutant in the ocean, and sadly the cause of death for thousands of animals each year. As shocking as these numbers are, there is a way to literally 'wear' the solution!

Our products are hand made from repurposing nylon fibres found in fishing nets, industrial waste, and other plastic pollutants. These fibres are sorted, cleaned and purified to a level that they can be remanufactured. The end result is a warm, comfortable and supportive garment which is made to last the long term!

We are very proud of having our product development, brand design, and manufacturing all within the UK. Having responsibly made products in the UK means that we are able support local support suppliers, who in turn invest their care, and attention into what they produce. Not only that, keeping our manufacturing local means that we are able to save around 115,000 tonnes of CO2 per batch of production!
